Revision Policy

Revision Policy & Design Changes

To ensure all projects remain organized, efficient, and completed within the agreed timeline, all website design and development services include a limited number of revisions based on the selected package.

A revision refers to minor modifications made to the existing design or content after the initial draft has been presented.

Examples of revisions include:

  • Text/content edits

  • Image replacements

  • Color adjustments

  • Font changes

  • Minor spacing or layout adjustments

  • Button/link updates

  • Small styling refinements

Revisions do not include:

  • Complete redesigns

  • Changing the overall website direction or style

  • Adding new pages or sections not originally discussed

  • New functionality or integrations

  • Rebranding after the project has started

  • Major structural/layout changes

  • Additional content creation requests

Requests outside the original project scope will be considered additional work and may require a separate quote or hourly billing.

Included Revisions

The number of included revision rounds depends on the site level or service agreement.

Typical revision structure:

  • Starter Websites: 1 revision round

  • Standard Business Websites: 2 revision rounds

  • Premium / E-Commerce Websites: 3 revision rounds

A “revision round” means the client submits one organized list of requested changes at one time.

Multiple separate requests submitted over several days may be counted as additional revision rounds.

Revision Submission Requirements

Clients are expected to carefully review all draft designs and submit clear, detailed feedback in a timely manner.

Revision requests must:

  • Be submitted via email or the agreed communication platform

  • Be organized into one complete list whenever possible

  • Clearly explain requested changes

  • Be submitted within 5 business days of receiving the draft or revision version

Failure to provide revision feedback within the required timeframe may result in project delays or project closure due to inactivity.

Additional Revisions

Any revisions requested beyond the included amount will be billed separately at the current hourly rate or quoted as an additional project fee.

Additional revision fees may apply for:

  • Excessive design changes

  • Repeated revision requests

  • Scope changes after approval

  • Content changes after development completion

  • New functionality requests

Work on additional revisions will not begin until payment for the added work has been approved.

Client Approval Responsibility

Clients are responsible for thoroughly reviewing all website drafts, content, spelling, images, links, and functionality before providing final approval.

Once final approval is given and the website is launched:

  • Any future edits or changes may be subject to maintenance or update fees

  • Approved work is considered accepted by the client

Design Direction Changes

If the client significantly changes the design direction, branding, layout style, business focus, or functionality requirements after the project has begun, the project may require:

  • Timeline adjustments

  • Additional revision fees

  • A revised proposal or contract

Examples include:

  • Changing from a minimalist design to a luxury aesthetic

  • Switching from informational website to e-commerce

  • Replacing approved branding entirely

  • Requesting major structural redesigns after development begins

Delays & Communication

Timely communication is essential for project completion.

Delays in providing:

  • Revision feedback

  • Website content

  • Images/files

  • Approvals

  • Required account access

may extend the estimated project timeline.

The designer/developer is not responsible for delays caused by lack of client communication or incomplete materials.

Project Completion & Closure

Projects that remain inactive for 30 consecutive days due to lack of client communication, missing materials, or delayed approvals may be considered abandoned and closed without refund.

Reactivation of inactive projects may require:

  • A restart fee

  • A revised timeline

  • A new project agreement depending on the amount of remaining work

Quality Assurance

Every project is carefully reviewed prior to delivery to ensure:

  • Mobile responsiveness

  • Functional links/forms

  • Browser compatibility

  • Design consistency

  • Basic performance optimization

Clients are encouraged to test the website thoroughly during the revision period to ensure all requested changes are completed before launch.

Agreement Acknowledgment

By purchasing website services, the client acknowledges and agrees to this Revision Policy and understands that revision limits, timelines, and additional fees are in place to maintain an efficient and professional project workflow.
